The history of the brand
In 1868 Thomas Claiborne Frost, who had served as lieutenant colonel of the Confederate States Army, formed Frost Bank as a commercial association in San Antonio. It was chartered as a national banking body in February 1899. That year, the bank also made deposits worth $1 million. The bank survived the 1907 Panic with the help of a local banks' association and sold its stock for the first time to international investors in 1921. The building was erected in 1921, and Frost was the tallest at the time in Texas and continued to develop. By 1926, the brother of T.C. Frost Jr., Joseph Hardin Frost, became the president of the company.
In the first few years of the 21st century, the acquisitions of Alamo Bank of Texas, Horizon Capital Bank, Summit Bancshares Inc., Texas Community Bank, and Western National Bank took place.
In order to ensure that every job at Frost is complete, Frost provides a competitive reward, generous benefits, and a good work-life balance. Frost Bank won a place in Forbes magazine's Best Employer's list for its workers' dedication.
Frost always tries new ways of simplifying, smarting, and developing banking. And innovations, similar to the Freeze Your Card, See All Your Finances, and the Frost App for Apple Watch, should always be expected.
With over 1200 ATMs and 130 financial centers across Texas, Frost can not only provide text and email transactions with its high-tech technologies but can also enjoy fast cash access.
