I am a development practitioner who has spent 25 years tackling development issues within low income countries. I am  the Regional Director for SNV Netherlands Development Organisation in the Balkans, and was previously Director for SNV in Kenya and Sudan. I have been Director, Programme Director and Project Manager for CARE International in Afghanistan, Kenya and Egypt between 1992 and 2003, was the Executive Director of Project HOPE UK, a Project Officer for British charity Afghanaid, and was a VSO volunteer in Eastern Indonesia in the 80s. I have worked across agriculture, basic services and business, and brings perspective based in the reality of development challenges and a focus on development practice.

I specialise in participation and learning practice across whole systems, and seek conversation and collaboration on developing and promoting practice and approach that engage emergence and complexity within international development space.
