Video: ITC's Alpaca Project in Peru

The Alpaca Project, in Arequipa, Peru, is designed to reduce poverty, strengthen the production activities of women in Arequipa, and aid in fulfilling the Millennium Development Goals. It is aligned with the International Trade Centre's (ITC) regional focus for Latin America and the Caribbean and ITC's Women and Trade Programme, which aims to empower women entrepreneurs in developing countries through achieving export success and deriving greater economic benefit from women's participation in trade.
