The Knowledge-Driven International Development (KDID) Portal is a family of websites established to maximize the effectiveness of development assistance by connecting development practitioners through learning opportunities and spreading innovation and good practice.
KDID Portal sites are vibrant communities where members discuss ideas, share experience, connect to other professionals, and access the latest thinking in best practice. They are designed to ensure that knowledge on what works in development is effectively captured and shared among practitioners so it can be applied to projects, programs and USAID Mission efforts.
Each portal site is a collection of resources and knowledge-sharing activities organized by a specific sector or region. New sites, features and activities will be rolled out in the coming months and we invite you to set up an account and to explore the portal and its sites. KDID is about knowledge sharing and learning so we encourage you to help us learn how to better meet these goals. Please email us to share an idea, an interest, or feedback on how we're doing.
KDID is an initiative of the Knowledge-Driven Microenterprise Development (KDMD) project under the USAID Microenterprise Development (MD) office. The MD office supports the KDID portal, Microlinks, Poverty Frontiers, Social Transitions, and a broad array of knowledge-sharing and learning strategies, tools, and events through the KDMD program, implemented by The QED Group, LLC and its sub-contractors, the International Resources Group and the Training Resources Group.
